Wiesensteig with its population of 2 200 is part of the Göppingen district and lies 592-750m above sea levels. Parts of Wiesensteig include the Stadt Wiesensteig, the Bläsiberg, Eckhöfe, Heidental, Reußenstein, Ziegelhof courts and the houses Lämmerbuckel and Papiermühle.

Wiesensteig is an ideal starting point for the Albtraufgängerweg or for hiking along the Albsteig. Or by bike through the most beautiful valleys of the Schwäbische Alb (Albtäler Radweg).
Geocachers, too, will enjoy themselves in and around Wiesensteig.
